Information Technology Technician

Summary:
Serves as the primary technical position responsible for the proper operation, maintenance and support of Partners Bank’ information services back-office equipment and systems. Works heavily with approved vendors to ensure the processing equipment is in daily working condition. Responsible for all PC’s, Servers, Laptops and related equipment service and support activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as an IT Technician or equivalent position
  • Desirable Certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Security +, Microsoft Certified IT Profession, ITIL
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Ability to work onsite and remotely as needed
  • Working knowledge of data backup and disaster-recovery technologies
  • Working knowledge of Project Management processes
  • Working knowledge of Virtualization Technology
  • Working knowledge of networking and operating systems
  • Working knowledge of Information Security Principles
  • Experience in PC and Mobile Device management and repairs
  • Strong interpersonal skills that includes listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, leadership, motivation, flexibility, patience, and empathy

  • Assist in tracking, resolving, and documenting issues with hardware, software, and core bank applications through the bank’s HelpDesk solution

Specific Job Functions:

  • Ensures the technology services procedures manual is updated on a regular basis as needed
  • Effectively supports bank employees with varying degrees of technical expertise
  • Works with Senior IT Personnel and approved vendors supporting the bank’s local area and wide area network hardware and software
  • Ensures installed equipment is properly functioning and supported
  • Responsible for documenting any network or PC-related functions
  • Responsible for ensuring all technology services duties are performed in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Assist and may submit detailed plans, solutions, and budgets to Information Systems management for the execution of a successful operations and data processing support system.
  • Implements, manages, and reports on the bank’s hardware and software asset tracking to include end-of-life
  • Works with approved outside vendors to maintain the bank’s operational equipment, systems and environments
  • Works with other Information Systems personnel in designing, implementing, and supporting an effective system access and security environment.
  • Assist in Managing the bank’s helpdesk request process and responds to Low and Medium priority request and escalates as needed
  • Assist as a backup on the approved operational data backup plan designed to protect and limit the bank’s exposure to data loss or disaster
  • Maintains awareness of new technologies and determines the best course of action to obtain strategic advantage without subjecting the bank to any undue risk
  • Maintains Information Security requirements as required by bank policy and regulation
  • Provide level one monitoring of end point protection to include Anti-virus alerts and predefined IT Event Monitoring Alerts
  • Assist Senior IT Personnel in the design, configuration, testing, and documentation of computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Provides necessary training to Partners Bank personnel on operational and support topics
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employee’s or changed positions to include computer and mobile devices installation
  • Assists with system and server updates and patches
  • Assists with tracking, managing, and updating Bank Applications in a timely manner

  • Assist and member of the BCP Team to include annual testing and real-life events
  • Assists in the resolution of PC and Mobile Devices issues as reported by bank employees
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Microsoft, other third-party applications, and bank specific applications
  • Assumes the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technology related to job functions
  • Develops, updates, manages, and documents standard bank desktop images
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested
