Maine Children’s Cancer Program Receives $500 from Partners Bank Employee Donation Program

Partners Bank SVP/Chief Risk Officer Michelle Sheppard (L) was selected as the most recent participant in our Employee Donation Program. Michelle chose Maine Children’s Cancer Program to receive the funds. Here, Bank President/CEO Blaine Boudreau presents her with a check for $500.

SANFORD, Maine—Partners Bank is proud to announce that Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP) has been awarded the latest $500 gift from our monthly Employee Donation Program. Michelle Sheppard, who was randomly selected to designate a charity for September, is the 42nd employee to participate in this program.

A specialty-care practice of Maine Medical Partners, Maine Children’s Cancer Program provides a complete range of clinical services that address the unique needs of children and their families who are diagnosed with cancer and blood diseases. Located in Scarborough, Maine Children’s Cancer Program also conducts ongoing research, including participation in clinical research trials sponsored by Children’s Oncology Group.

Michelle, a Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at our Main Office, is passionate about the work being done by Maine Children’s Cancer Program. Along with her family, she actively participates in Sanford Elks fundraising events that benefit the program. This year’s events—including a “chili & chowda” contest, an annual golf tournament and an ice fishing derby—helped the Sanford Elks MCCP Committee raise $143,000, bringing its 26-year-total to $2.5 million.

“I commend Michelle for choosing Maine Children’s Cancer Program as this month’s donation recipient,” says Partners Bank President & CEO Blaine Boudreau. “Through its diligent and dedicated efforts, the organization continues to provide immeasurable value in the difficult struggle to combat childhood illness.”
