Partners Bank Employees Raise More Than $10,000 to Non-Profits Just by Wearing Jeans

Partners Bank employees pose together during one of the Bank’s recent “Casual for a Cause” Days. Employees at Partners came together to raise over $10,000 just for wearing their jeans to work.

SANFORD, Maine—For many years now the employees of Partners Bank have engaged in such a simple yet rewarding tradition. Casual for a Cause Days, or “Jeans Days” as they’ve become known as, has brought an entire new perspective on what it means to put on a pair of jeans.

Twice a month on Friday, all employees are welcome to step away from their normal professional work attire and dress casually in their favorite pair of jeans and a Partners Bank shirt, all while paying $3 to do so or $5 if you happen to work on Saturday as well. All proceeds go to a selected non-profit organization for that week.

In 2019, Bank employees were able to come together and raise more than $10,000 to numerous non-profits. Not only is it the employees raising this money, but they also get to submit their favorite non-profit to be selected for one of these “Jeans Days” if they so wish.

“Jeans Days have become so popular with our employees,” Bank President and CEO, Blaine Boudreau said. “Not only does it feel good dressing down for a day, but knowing you’re also doing it to benefit a non-profit, feels even better. And the fact that this is all coming from our employees’ pockets makes it that much more special.”

More than 25 organizations have benefitted from this donation program, including the likes of Another Chance Animal Rescue, The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Maine Odyssey of the Mind, Rolling Thunder – Maine Chapter One, and more.
