During our Annual Meeting each spring, SIS Bank shares in the spirit of giving by randomly selecting three Corporators to each choose a local nonprofit to receive a $1,000 gift from the Bank. This year, Ann Lapierre and Jerome Bshara both chose Grahamtastic Connection, while David Cabana opted for Waban.

Springvale-based Grahamtastic Connection provides free laptops, tablets and internet access to more than 150 seriously ill and hospitalized children yearly, to help these youth stay connected to friends and family as well as teachers and classmates. In addition, Grahamtastic has a lending library of 17 tele-presence robots for schools to borrow so these children can attend class remotely from their hospital beds or homes.

Waban, based out of Sanford and serving the greater Sanford-Springvale area, is a nonprofit corporation that provides programs and services for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as those individuals on the autism spectrum. Waban advocates for the welfare and education of these community members, making a real different in their lives.

“Including corporators into our charitable giving efforts is a long-standing tradition for SIS Bank,” said SIS Bank President & CEO Blaine Boudreau. “It’s humbling and fulfilling to see our randomly selected corporators choose organizations each year that are near and dear to them and be able to support these charities together.”
