Sit and Get Organized. Now, Stay Organized. Good Human!

Sit and Get Organized

Yippee! It seems like spring is starting to arrive; all the snow is melting and I can feel some grass between my paws while I’m out playing! My favorite part is jumping in and rolling around in all the mud, even though my humans don’t seem to approve…they always shake their heads in exasperation and dry off my fur before I can come back inside.

Must be part of this “spring cleaning” thing I heard them talking about. How they need to go through the papers in the office, and clean out the closets and garage, and how they’re not motivated to do any of it! Since they’re making me clean up, I took it upon myself to find some spring-cleaning apps and digital services to help them get motivated and clean up. And boy, are they neat:

KonMari
Available for iOS only
The KonMari Method of tidying up, invented by Marie Kondo, is a great place to start for all those humans who feel overwhelmed by spring cleaning and don’t know what to attack first. This app helps you break down the full “spring clean everything” mindset into manageable categories, starting with clothes and moving on to books, then papers and more. You can even upload your photos and share your progress to help motivate other Konverts!

Centriq
Available for iOS only
Say goodbye to all those owner manuals and hello to freed-up drawer or closet space! With Centriq, you can easily download a digital owner’s manual for practically everything you own with an “on switch.” All you have to do is scan the model number of the product and you’ll get all sorts of nifty information.

Scanbot
Available for Android and iOS
If you’re truly looking to go paperless, try the Scanbot app. Turn your clutter of papers into hi-res scans which can be organized and stored within the app. Scanbot will even convert all writing into searchable text so you can easily find that specific paper you need, in a snap.

Letgo or OfferUp
Available for Android and iOS
Both Letgo and OfferUp are great apps to help humans sell unwanted stuff they find while cleaning out their house. All you have to do for either app is post a photo of your gently used goods. When you have an interested buyer, you can talk with them right through the app and sell your stuff, all without having to go anywhere!

Decluttr
Available for Android and iOS
If you’re not up to negotiating with buyers, you can still make money on your used goods with decluttr. This app will offer you an instant price once you scan the barcode or model number of your unwanted items. Shipping to decluttr is free, and you’ll get paid once the goods have been received.

Catalog Choice
https://www.catalogchoice.org/
Tired of getting junk mail? (Who isn’t?) Catalog Choice is a super simple online service and will help you to unsubscribe yourself from any and all unwanted junk mail! All you have to do is search in their database for the companies that are sending you unwanted mail and enter your name and address. Catalog Choice will contact the organization to get your name taken off their list. Talk about saved space!

Our Home
Available for Android and iOS
For some humans, organization comes easy. Turn your paper calendars and posted chores list into a mobile family planning chart with Our Home. This app will help you stay organized no matter where you are with to-do lists, grocery lists, calendars and more—all shared with the family (so no one will forget whose turn it is to empty the dishwasher!).

With all these great organization apps, spring cleaning should be a breeze. Good thing I don’t have thumbs, though, or my humans would probably make me help.

Hope these apps help you!
‘Til Next Time,
Your pawsitively pawesome pal Cache
