The Pawsitively Pawesome Partners Bank Website

Oh boy, oh boy, if there’s one thing that gets my tail wagging it’s new and improved technology! And, let me tell you—after sniffing out all the design and functionality changes made to the SIS website as we change to Partners Bank, my tail is wagging so fast and furious, I almost knocked Clawdia off the coffee table! (Totally her fault for being so nosy and trying to sneak up on me. I wonder if that’s where the phrase, ‘curiosity killed the cat’ came from…Just saying.)

Indeed, The Bank That Listens® has had its ears perked up for quite some time now, taking in all the feedback from our customers as we approach the July 1 official Partners Bank launch. Overall, our website UX (that’s user experience for all you non-web developers) has been improved, making it easier for our customers to find the information they’re looking for and to better understand the fantastic products that are available at Partners Bank!

Overall Design & Homepage Navigation
When you enter the Partners Bank website, you’ll notice some obvious visual changes like color palettes and text formats. Scroll down the homepage and the affect of these simple tweaks will surely make a huge difference on the experience of navigating through the page content. Where content was once laid out in blocks that didn’t transition from one topic to the next, it’s now formatted to smoothly move you through the page as if it were part of a succinct conversation. The design updates truly make full use of the screen space, allowing for larger text and even larger images without making the user feel overwhelmed by the presented content. Even the blog section is easier to find on the homepage and includes snippets of the three most recent posts—so you can keep up to date with me and my tech content that much quicker!

Product Pages
The ‘meat and potatoes’ of our new website has gotten a much-needed makeover, too. Before, when a user would click on the menu to browse personal banking or business banking products, they would be served up a basic list of products by category, e.g. ‘Product Bundles,’ ‘Checking,’ ‘Savings Accounts,’ and ‘Mortgages & Home Equities.’ But now, one click to the personal or business banking top menu button and you get an ENTIRE LIST of EVERY. SINGLE. PRODUCT available! Moreover, these pages are more visually appealing, and information is easier to digest, thanks to the inclusion of graphic charts over lists to represent account details. On top of that, every product page includes a right-side menu with links to the products by the aforementioned top-level category. Users can conveniently peruse all the Bank’s products while also being able to seamlessly toggle back and forth between product categories as they read through the content. I bet there will be many Bank customers who will be surprised by all the products and services offered that are available to them, simply because of the prior website navigation!

Login & Contact Options
The online banking portal login button is still conveniently available on every page within the site, but now it’s in the top left header of the website instead of on the right within the top menu navigation bar. And, with a simpler design that no longer includes boxes for the credential fields until you click it, the login button feels more secure (note: security levels for online banking have been maintained with this website design change). We’ve also made it easier for users to message the Bank through the site contact form, another small change with huge impact—as we know humans these days are generally multitasking and like the option to start a conversation via web so as not to interrupt the progress of other tasks.

Team Pages
It’s one thing to say you’re a partner to your customers and communities; quite another to live it. We certainly practice what we preach, and so have brought our various teams to the forefront of the new Partners Bank website. We’ve not only shortened the journey into our team pages, but we’ve also increased the image size and employee information for each member listed so that users can truly get to know their banking partners. We recognize that a strong partnership comes from a great relationship, and so wanted to make sure our customers know exactly who they’re talking to and banking with, no matter the product or service.

These are just the initial changes to the website as we transition to Partners Bank. I’ve been doing some extra digging on additional changes to come (which reminds me, I’m pretty sure I buried a bone somewhere in the yard…will need to go dig that up before I forget again!), and the next big change on the website will be updates to a more convenient online account opening process! I also found out that there will be updates to the mobile banking app and online banking portal, but not until the fall of this year. As the saying goes,’ Good things come to those who wait.’ (Take it from someone who literally gets yummy treats and loving pats every time he sits and stays upon his human’s command.)

Until next time,
